La Chance Café is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic **Kitchen Assistant** to join our team on a **permanent part-time contract (28 hours per week).**
### Schedule
* **Monday & Tuesday:** 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
* **Saturday & Sunday:** 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
### About the Role
On **Mondays and Tuesdays**, you will be working independently in the kitchen. You will be responsible for preparing and serving our brunch and coffee shop menu by carefully following the Chef's recipes and technical specification sheets to ensure consistency and quality.
During the **weekends**, you will work alongside the Head Chef, assisting with food preparation, service, and ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly during busy periods.
### Key Responsibilities
* Prepare dishes according to the Chef's recipes and standards.
* Work independently during weekday shifts.
* Assist the Head Chef during weekend service.
* Help with food preparation and mise en place.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen.
* Follow all food safety and hygiene procedures.
* Support stock organisation and deliveries when required.
### We Are Looking For Someone Who
* Is organised, reliable, and able to work independently.
* Has previous kitchen or café experience (preferred).
* Is comfortable preparing brunch-style dishes.
* Works efficiently under pressure.
* Has a positive attitude and enjoys being part of a small, friendly team.
* Takes pride in producing consistent, high-quality food.
